Hi! I'm

I’m a Doula based in the centre of Northampton. I’m married to a very patient husband and a mum of three children (aged 17, 20, and 25). We’re very much a “neurospicy” household, full of energy, curiosity, and big personalities and we share our home with two equally lively dogs!

I’ve been supporting new and expectant families across Northamptonshire and the surrounding counties for over a decade, and I feel deeply honoured to walk alongside parents during such a powerful and life-changing season.

Gentle birth support, grounded in trust and informed choice

Pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood are some of the most life-changing seasons we move through. They can be beautiful and empowering, but also tender, uncertain, and deeply stretching. You may feel excited and grounded one moment, and overwhelmed or vulnerable the next — and all of it is completely normal.

My role as a doula is to offer steady, compassionate support as you move through this transition. I am here to listen, to hold space, and to help you feel informed, supported, and cared for — emotionally, physically, and practically.

I support families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, offering calm guidance and a grounding presence throughout the journey. I believe birth is not something to “get through,” but something to be honoured — a powerful experience that deserves time, preparation, and the right support around you.

My approach is person-led and rooted in trust. I honour your autonomy, your choices, and your intuition. I don’t believe there is one right way to give birth or to become a parent — only the way that feels safest and most aligned for you.

This work is a deep privilege. To witness new life arriving, to support you through change, and to gently walk beside you as your family grows.

My Philosophy

My work as a Doula is rooted in a person-centred approach that honours the whole of you — your body, mind, emotions, and lived experience. Pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood are not only physical events, but deeply personal transitions that can shape how you feel, how you heal, and how you step into this new chapter of life.

Rather than offering one-size-fits-all support, I meet you where you are. Every pregnancy, every birth, and every family is different, and the care I provide is shaped around your individual needs, preferences, values, and circumstances. My role is not to lead your journey, but to walk alongside you with calm presence, steady reassurance, and practical, evidence-based support.

I am passionate about supporting physiological birth and creating the conditions where the body can do what it is designed to do. This includes supporting you to feel safe, informed, and confident, and helping you understand how your environment, emotional wellbeing, and support system can influence the flow of labour. I also recognise that birth is unpredictable, and my support remains steady and non-judgemental no matter how your birth unfolds.

A core part of my work is informed choice. I believe you deserve clear information, space to explore your options, and the time to make decisions without pressure. I support you to advocate for yourself, ask questions, and feel empowered in your communication with care providers — so that you remain at the centre of your own experience.

Above all, I offer grounding support through this transformative season. Whether your journey feels calm, complex, joyful, or uncertain, you deserve to feel held, respected, and deeply supported as you prepare to meet your baby and step into parenthood.

Client Reviews

Lucy

So supportive and reassuring. My birth partner and I felt taken much more seriously by HCP and felt that Becki was able to negotiate our wishes while we cracked on with birthing our beautiful baby boy. Such a positive experience would recommend to any birthing person and partner and would definitely work with Becki again in the future
